I am debating which to buy and need some input. Seems the price difference is so small, but also seems the L3130 is much more tractor. How do I decide??

Jerry, the biggest differences I see are the comparisons of weight and hydraulic output. The 3030 is listed at about 1800 lbs and the 3130 weighs 3300 lbs. I think the B series are primarily aluminum and the L series cast iron. Also the hydraulic output is 9.8 vs. 13.2 gal/min for the two. The specs for the 3030 do not separate steering hydraulics from implement hydraulics. Maybe it only has one pump?

The weight could make a big difference if you plan on using it around lawns or other weight sensitive areas. I use my L3130 for logging, BH and loader work where more weight is better.

Have fun shopping!
Dave ....

Your profile is showing 68 acres. What are you planning to do with your tractor. You likely will want the bigger/stronger machine for that acreage.
I much prefer the L-30 series machine over the B's myself...My opinion

Trying to decide may send me to a shrink. My house is on 4 acres with lots of trees, shrubs etc. to mow around. The bulk of the property is wide open pasture, pens.. Looks like I need two completely different rigs to take care of the whole property. ....

Jerry for the four acres if you wanted to mow with a compact I'd recommend the B-series because of it's lightness over the L-series which could use the weight as an advantage for the undeveloped land. I'd look at a Zero turn mower to get the lawn done fast and then I'd look at one of the L-series with a loader for the back forty! You might want to look at the L-2800 or larger for the back. The price you may want to pay would dictate which models to look for. ....
